I have also learned that sometimes you learn the most from those you think you are teaching. Recently I have learned about true inner strength from someone unexpected. She is an incredible, strong, young woman that God has blessed in a way none of us would have imagined. Once again he has proved to me that his plan has nothing to do with ours but it always turns out better than we thought. We may not be able to predict our future, but I do know this, nothing is ever a mistake. I have also learned that, more often than not, our decisions, no matter how small, almost always directly affect not only our lives but those of many many others. The term "domino effect" comes to mind. In this case that could not be more true. In some round about way her decision will be an answer to a lifelong prayer of mine and bring more joy than she knows to her and her family. It will teach her so much and my hope is that from this she will learn how strong she is and that she is a fighter and that her faith will grow stronger than ever. I hope she knows that I am one of her biggest fans and I am here whenever she should need me and my prayers are with her. I am so very excited to see the outcome and watch her life unfold. Remember, there are always two sets of footprints in the sands of life.

Two sets of footprints
Sorry I haven't written in a while. There has been a lot going on in my little corner of the world. And to be honest, I have learned a lot since my last post. I realized that I am starting to get used to being married. It is now weird to see my maiden name in print. I never thought that would happen. Its funny how I lived almost 26 years with one name and I have had my new name for just under 5 months and I am already accustom to it! But this does not mean that I don't still feel like a newly wed! It is my hope that we stay in that classification as long as possible. I still miss him during the work day and get butterflies when I see him after a long weekend apart and I still get lost in his eyes over pillow talk or a romantic dinner. I really hope that never fades. My great grandmother gave me some of the best advice that I have ever actually followed and that was to marry a man that has beautiful and honest eyes because everything else will fade.
